Captain Jim is a true Florida-born native right here from the waters of Clearwater, Florida.
Fishing is in his blood – He is a fourth generation professional fisherman that stems from his great-grandfather who commercially fished the waters off Pinellas County. Married to his wife, Tara, for 14 years- they have three kids, Madison, Cole and Kate. The family enjoys fishing together and spending time on the water. Tara has two world records on fly for speckled trout which Jim guided her to right on the waters off Ozona, Florida.
As a full-time professional fishing guide, he is on the water 250+ days a year and his experience and knowledge will help put you on those fish of a life-time.
Captain Jim is prostaffed by many leaders in the industry such as Mercury Marine Outboards, Simrad Electronics / Navico , Dorado Custom Boats, Power Pole, Magic Tilt Trailers, Mirrolure and the Pumpkin Jigs!
His knowledge of large gamefish, such as snook, tarpon, and redfish makes him seasoned in their habitats and migratory patterns.
Captain Jim has been fishing professional tournaments for 20 years throughout the state of Florida. With over 50+ top 5 finishes and 30+ tournament victories, he has established himself as one of the top anglers in the state.
